Brisbane vs. GWS Predictions

Best Bet
The best way to bounce back from a disappointing loss is by winning, and Brisbane looks set to post a big win over the Giants on Saturday.
Brisbane was right in the game against Adelaide last week on the road, and losing 68-63 shouldn’t deter punters from backing them this week. It’s a good team, and it could take advantage of GWS coming off an unforgivable loss to Port Adelaide.
The Power had been struggling mightily before pulling off an upset, and with confidence levels low with GWS, the defending champions should strike. They are the –18.5 favourites for good reason, and we predict Brisbane winning by around 25-30 points.

Same Game Multi
After some disappointing performances, it’s time for Eric Hipwood to get back to his best form. The Lions forward started the year with some good showings, but with only two goals from his last four games, he’s struggling.
However, that could all change against GWS, in what we expect to be a high scoring game. Hipwood is a $1.78 chance to score 2+ goals, which is worth including alongside Jesse Hogan 2+ goals for GWS. Hogan has 14 goals from his last five games, and punters usually get shorter odds than $1.57 for the Giants scorer.
We’re taking those odds and including him in our AFL same game multi bets as an odds booster, as he should easily have 2+ goals.
Over 168.5 is worth including after they combined for 105 points last year. That came in September when the offences were at their best, but it should be a free-flowing game, and 168.5 points is a lower line than expected.

Best Value Bet
We believe Brisbane has a significant edge over GWS, and although winning by 40 points isn’t easy, it could be a one-sided affair.
Given their 2024 AFL Premiership success, the Lions have the class edge, and although GWS has shown glimpses of good form, it’s not consistent enough to give the home side a scare in front of a big crowd at the Gabba.
The $3.35 odds are worth including as a value bet.
