As we have said all year, the best time to bet on the Lions is having a tough loss. They were manhandled by the Cats last week, and losing Lachie Neale doesn’t help, but a wounded Lion always makes a loud roar.

They split the regular season series against Gold Coast 1-1, including a 130-64 loss. However, given that performance and last week’s poor showing, Brisbane should come out with much more effort and kicking execution.

Logan Morris and Charlie Cameron need to rise to the occasion. They were kept in check against Geelong, but the Lions have a better team, and having experience of winning the title last year is something Gold Coast doesn’t have.

After a last gasp win last week, the SUNS could struggle to replicate that level of effort, so take Brisbane to win and cover the spread.
