gobet afl round 13 tips

The AFL continues this week for Round 13 action, kicking off with Western Bulldogs vs Hawthorn on Thursday night.

We have AFL betting tips for every game in 2025, including this week’s featured games between Adelaide vs Brisbane and Geelong vs Gold Coast.

AFL Round 13 Tips

Thursday 5/6/25

7:30pm Western Bulldogs vs. Hawthorn @ Marvel Stadium

Betting Tip: Western Bulldogs –12.5 @ $1.90

We put our faith in Hawthorn last week and it disappointed again, so we’re going for the Bulldogs to cover the spread this week.

They have played more consistent footy in 2025, and playing at home should only help their chances of posting a win and making a push for a top eight spot.

They’re too good to be on the outside looking in, so take the Bulldogs to win comfortably.

Friday 6/6/25

7:40pm Adelaide vs. Brisbane @ Adelaide Oval

Betting Tip: Brisbane +8.5 @ $1.90

It was hard not to be impressed by Brisbane last week when scoring a quality win over Hawthorn, and the Lions could take down another quality team on Friday.

They are +8.5 underdogs against a red-hot Adelaide team, and although the Crows are firing, we don’t rate them as highly as the Lions.

It’s going to be an excellent game, and it could come down to the final few minutes, so take Brisbane +8.5.

Saturday 7/6/25

1:20pm Richmond vs. Sydney @ MCG

Betting Tip: Sydney –15.5 @ $1.90

It hasn’t been a good year for the Swans, who suffered another heavy loss to Adelaide last week, but they’re capable of bouncing back.

They face the struggling Tigers, who pushed GWS close last week, but repeating that effort could be too tough for them in consecutive weeks.

We’re keeping the faith with Sydney, and a –15.5 line against Richmond isn’t big.

4:15pm Geelong vs. Gold Coast @ GMBHA Stadium

Betting Tip: Geelong –17.5 @ $1.90

It took Geelong some time to put away West Coast last week, but they turned on the jets when they needed to.

It was a solid performance from the Cats, and based on Gold Coast’s recent form, they are good enough to keep their winning form going.

Bookmakers are giving Gold Coast plenty of respect, but it could be a comfortable win for the home side on Saturday.

Geelong by 22

7:35pm GWS vs. Port Adelaide @ Manuka Oval

Betting Tip: GWS -21.5 @ $1.90

It wasn’t a comfortable win for GWS last week against a much easier team, but given how poorly Port Adelaide is playing, it should be an easy win for GWS on Saturday night.

They have enough class to put the Power away and cover the –21.5 spread with ease. Port Adelaide is 15th on the AFL ladder, and we can’t see their position improving anytime soon.

Punters should back the Giants with confidence, and the line could move considerably throughout the week.

Sunday 8/6/25

3:20pm North Melbourne vs. West Coast @ Hands Oval

Betting Tip: North Melbourne –8.5 @ $1.90

Sitting in 17th and 18th respectively are North Melbourne and West Coast, but the Kangaroos are the better team.

They have shown glimpses of solid form in 2025, and although West Coast has pushed some decent teams close, they lack the punch in the second half.

If North Melbourne can’t win and cover the spread this week, there’s no hope for them.

7:20pm Carlton vs. Essendon @ MCG

Betting Tip: Essendon +14.5 @ $1.90

Credit Essendon for keeping it close last week against a much stronger Brisbane outfit. They covered the +44.5 spread easily, so we’re sticking with them against Carlton.

The Blues haven’t played well so far, sitting in 13th spot on the AFL ladder, and this is the perfect time for Essendon to pick up a win.

Getting a +14.5 line is ideal, and although there is value in the $2.80 head-to-head price, it’s best to be cautious.

Monday 9/6/25

3:20pm Melbourne vs. Collingwood @ MCG

Betting Tip: Collingwood –23.5 @ $1.90

Collingwood showed their toughness and class last week, and given Melbourne’s performance in Round 12, this should be a one-sided game.

It was a poor showing from the Demons last week in a game they should have won, so look for Collingwood to pile on the pressure early.

Covering the –23.5 spread shouldn’t be too difficult at the MCG.
