It was a fascinating opening weekend of the 2025/26 A-League campaign, with goals and drama out in full force.

Central Coast Mariners, Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar were the only three teams to pick up wins and early season showings suggest it should be another fascinating season in Australia’s top division.

The 12-team format this season certainly gives the league a neater look and with no side enjoying their rest week, the big games continue to roll in thick and fast on match day two.
