A-League Round 10 Expert Tips & Predictions

The unpredictability of the A-League came to the fore once again last weekend, with three sides inside the top four places losing.

Melbourne Victory took the spoils in the Melbourne derby, while Brisbane Roar and Sydney FC also lost out, to give the chasing pack hope.

Auckland FC continue to set the standard at the top of the tree but there are plenty of sides in behind that will be looking to string to some results together in pursuit of a playoff finish this term.

Melbourne City will be eager to bounce back from derby day defeat to Victory, as they host Macarthur FC. This does feel like a tough one for the visitors though and City should have enough to win this one.

Two sides genuinely in the hunt for the A-League title meet here, as Sydney FC host league leaders Auckland FC. Sydney were undone by Newcastle Jets last weekend and they know they will need to improve markedly here to have any chance against Auckland. Three wins on the spin have Auckland in a good place ahead of this one but they know they don’t need to force the issue on the road. Adelaide United and Western Sydney Wanderers remain two of the most unpredictable sides in the division and the prospect of them meeting is an intriguing one.
