The top two sides in the regular A-League table prevailed in the opening legs of the 2024/25 semi-finals but both will want to secure the job at home.

Melbourne City may have wound up 2^nd in the regular league table but perhaps now look best placed to go all the way, following their resounding win at Western United last weekend and they have a healthy 3-0 advantage ahead of the second leg.

League leaders shield winners Auckland FC meanwhile dug deep to pick up a tight 1-0 win at Melbourne Victory and they will want to cash in on that advantage in front of their home fans.

It is all to play for here, with the two sides that progress heading to the Grand Final and it promises to be another bumper weekend of A-League action.
